Today I was given the task by Dave Bilsborough to learn 2 songs within 2 hours and perform them in a 2 hour session to a high enough standard to be kept for recording.
The results were fair and I feel optimistic.
It was quite obvious that the bass performance was overly dynamic and uneven however it wasn't clear whether I was to simplify the part or just put a solid performance in for the song, although that became clear throughout the session.
In the end I failed to really nail the part in a single take, although I did give about enough to edit together a solid part. Dave and I will discuss this tomorrow.
This will become part of my portfolio eventually, with permission.
